Vietnamese singer Nhat Son (Ca sĩ Nhật Sơn) was born on August 29, 1981 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam under the name Vũ Minh Sơn. He is the youngest son of the famous singer Minh Canh and actress of the Vietnamese traditional theater Kieu My.
By
age
six
he
had
started
performing,
singing
traditional
Vietnamese
music
under
the
stage
name
Cảnh
Sơn.
He
travelled
with
a
group
of
famous
singers
and
comedians:
Siu
Black,
Thanh
Lam,
Quang
Linh,
Minh
Thuận,
Duy
Ngọc,
Duy
Phương,
Hương
Loan,
Ngọc
Thành
and
his
sister
Kiều
Nhi,
and
become
well-known
with
the
songs
‘Lòng
mẹ’
(Ngọc
Sơn)
and
‘Còn
thương
rau
đắng
mọc
sau
hè’
(Bắc
Sơn).
At
the
age
of
14
he
had
to
stop
singing
for
a
while,
because
his
voice
started
changing.
At
19
he
made
his
comeback
under
his
new
stage
name
Nhật
Sơn.
Not
singing
traditional
anymore,
but
Vietnamese
POP-music.
At
the
end
of
2006
he
recorded
his
first
album
‘Tôi
vẫn
hát’
(I
still
sing),
which
was
released
in
January
2007.
