Vietnamese short to be screened at famous Cannes film fest

Actress turned film producer Hong Anh, who represents Yxine FF, and the young director of “16:30” Tran Dung Thanh Huy, will both be part of this year’s Vietnamese delegation to Cannes, set be held in France from May 15 to 25.

The Voyage à Cannes program, which selects Vietnamese delegates to Cannes and supports young local filmmakers, has also invited actress, tycoon and Vietnam’s former tourism ambassador, Ly Nha Ky, to attend the prestigious international film fest.

At a press conference on May 6, Anh said that attending the Cannes film fest is a great honor for any artist, especially those like Huy, who are fortunate enough to have their film being screened there.

It is the third time that Anh has been invited to Cannes, but the first time she will promote a Vietnamese film there.
